Obituary

Conrad E. Wutsch, age 78, of Iroquois, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020 under hospice care at his home. A private family service and burial along with his brother Erich will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Iroquois, S.D.

Conrad Eugene Wutsch, the son of Joseph and Eleanor (Haigh) Wutsch was born on July 18,1941 in Iroquois, South Dakota. Conrad graduated from Iroquois High School and then went to the University of South Dakota in Vermilion, S.D. where he graduated with a business degree. He then worked for US Dept. Of Agriculture as an auditor and traveled a lot with his job. He then came home to help on the family farm as his parents needed his help.

Conrad loved to hunt and fish, he was a member of the Catholic Church in Iroquois, S.D., a member of the Elks Club in Huron. The Employees at Walmart in Huron, called him the last South Dakota cowboy.

Conrad is survived by his brothers & sisters, Ed (Deann) Wutsch of Leesburg, FL, Esther Wutsch of Iroquois, SD, Elaine (Hank) Roi of Sarasota, FL, Betty (Al Sr. and Nicholas) Rollison of Lake City, FL, and Ellen (Russell) Carter of Pierre, SD; sister-in-law Diane Wutsch Clark of Tyler, MN; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Conrad was preceded in death by his parents Eleanor and Joseph Wutsch; his brothers, Wayne and Erich and an infant brother; his uncle John; and his fiance Mavis Burright.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Conrad's name to Huron Regional Medical Center Hospice in Huron.
