Obituary

Conrad Connie O. Myran, age 83, of 764 Illinois Ave NW, Huron, died Sunday, April 17, 2005 at the Violet Tschetter Memorial Home. His funeral service will be at 2:30 PM Thursday, April 21st at the Welter Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Brandsrud officiating. Burial will be at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday afternoon and evening or Thursday until the time of service at the Welter Funeral Home. Conrad O. Myran was born on March 24, 1922, to Peter and Bertha (Teveldal) Myran at Alpena, SD. He grew up in the Alpena area and graduated from Wessington Springs High School. On February 8, 1945, Conrad married Viola Fuehrer. He was employed at Armours and Company for a number of years and then began to farm in Burr Oak Township southwest of Huron until 1981 when he retired due to health reasons. He moved to Huron and has lived here since. He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church of Wessington Springs and served on the township board of Burr Oak Township for a number of years when he lived on the farm. He is survived by one daughter, Donna (Lyle) Moldrem of Wessington Springs; two granddaughters, Kortne Moldrem of Wessington Springs and Brigitte Moldrem of Watertown; one sister Charlotte Poole of Huron; one brother Oswald Myran of Huron and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Viola on February 1, 1981, one daughter DeAnn on October 2, 2002, his parents, one sister Christine Miller and two brothers, Melvin and Palmer.
