Connie L. Waldner, age 85, of Huron, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Huron Regional Medical Center in Huron. Her Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Welter Funeral Home with burial to follow at St. Martin Cemetery in Huron. Visitation, with her family present, will be from 9 a.m., to the time of service on Friday morning.

Connie Louise was born on August 29, 1939 to parents Raymond and Adeline (Okken) DeJean in Plankinton, South Dakota. She graduated from Cavour High School.

Connie married Daryl D. Waldner in Pipestone, Minnesota on July 29,1962. Connie and Daryl made their home in Huron where she worked at Raven Industries and Pepsi Co. where she retired after 24 years.

She enjoyed playing BINGO, putting together puzzles and reading. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Daryl of Huron; son, Rick (Annette) Waldner of Huron and daughter Deanna (Todd) Decker of Huron; 3 grandchildren, Allyson (Tyler) Anthony of Stickney, April (Dylan Faulks) Decker of Yankton, and Austin Decker of Huron; 3 great-grandchildren, Major, Freya and Maverick; brothers, Don (Donna) DeJean of Yankton, David (Penny) DeJean of Huron, Ralph (Connie) DeJean of Huron, Roger (Judy) DeJean of Huron, Gary (Shelly) DeJean of Ten Strike, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Brian Waldner; sister Mary O'Connor; brothers, Evan, Kenny, and Larry DeJean.
