Mrs. Bob (Connie) Thomas, age 58, 438 Jefferson Blvd SE, Huron, died Thursday, April 5, 2007 at the Huron Regional Medical Center. Her funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM Monday, April 9th at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish with Father Joe Holzhauser officiating. Burial will be at St. Martins Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday afternoon and evening at the Welter Funeral Home or prior to the Mass Monday morning at the church. There will be a Scripture Service at 7:00 PM Sunday evening with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Connie Thomas was born Connie Kay Peterson on April 26, 1948, to Einar and Olga (Lundquist) Peterson at Huron. She graduated from Huron High School in 1966 and attended Huron College. On March 30, 1968, Connie married Bob Thomas at Cavour. They lived in Huron until 1976. They moved to Sioux Falls, and returned to Huron in 1980. Connie worked at Habichts Department Store, and was the Director for Beadle Jerald American Red Cross for several years. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and family. She loved to read and complete crossword puzzles. She had been on kidney dialysis for the past 8 years. She is survived by her husband Bob of Huron; 3 sons, Todd (Marsha) Thomas, Tony Thomas and Tim Thomas all of Huron; 4 grandchildren, Mason, Noah, Braylee and Abby Thomas all of Huron; her mother Olga Peterson of Huron; a brother, Gary (Virginia) Peterson of Huron; and a sister Joyce Marvel of Huron. She was preceded in death by her father Einar Peterson, a sister Marilyn Anderson, and a brother, Dennis Peterson. Casket bearers will be Jeff Thomas, Jesse Thomas, Steve Anderson, Jim Winegar, Kyle Cronin and Mark Peterson.
