Clifford E. Roth, age 82, of Huron, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Avantara Huron. His funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Welter Funeral Home. Visitation with the family present will be from 11 AM to the time of the service on Saturday. Masks are required for services.

Clifford Edwin Roth was born on November 28, 1937 to parents Lehart and Elise (Sedlesky) near Parkston, South Dakota. Clifford attended school near Parkston and graduated from Scotland High School.

Clifford married Rose Zirpel on November 24, 1957 in Parkston. Clifford and Rose made their home in Huron where Clifford was a mechanical contractor for many years in the area of plumbing, heating, and A/C. Clifford also did excavating work. Clifford was a very determined man when completing the tasks at hand.

Clifford and Rose enjoyed traveling to many places including Alaska, Hawaii, Germany and China. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Bowling, snow skiing, water skiing, hunting and fishing, were a few of the many activities Clifford enjoyed. He also loved to play cards. Clifford was passionate about ministry and prayer.

Clifford is survived by his wife Rose of Huron; children, Gaylen (Rebecca) Roth, Darin Roth, Carol Thedorff, all of Huron, Stacy (William III) Bertera of Michigan; 7 grandchildren, Jared, Ryan, Patrick, Tyler, Dakota, Amanda, and Samantha; 4 great-grandchildren, Owen, Cole, Kaleigh, and Rylen; brothers, Arnold (Seiglinda) Roth of Missouri, Jerry Roth of Yankton, Darrel Roth of Rapid City, and sister, Lillan (Harley) Thomas of Marion.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Violet; and two daughters, Cynthia York and Carla Roth.
