Obituary

Clarice Krueger, age 74, of 39392 212th Ave, Huron, died Friday, September 28, 2007, at the Avera Heart Hospital of South Dakota at Sioux Falls. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 2nd at the Riverview United Methodist Church with Rev. Barry Whipkey officiating. Burial will be at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 1:00 to 8:00 PM with the family present from 6:00 to 7:00 PM or one hour prior to the service at the church Tuesday afternoon. There will be a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM Monday evening at the funeral home. Clarice Krueger was born Clarice Mae Kneen on August 10, 1933, to Harold and Beatrice (Eastabrook) Kneen at Mitchell, SD. She lived with her family in the Artesian area and attended school at Forestburg, SD. On December 18, 1951, Clarice married Donald Krueger. They lived in Kansas for a short time and then moved to Wessington Springs and later Artesian. In 1965, they moved to a farm southwest of Huron where she has worked and raised her family. She was employed at St. Johns Hospital in Huron for many years in housekeeping. She was a member of the Virgil United Methodist Church where she faithfully attended. She was active in mission work and loved caring for others. She is survived by her husband, Donald Krueger of rural Huron; 1 daughter, Margaret (Wade) Fuller of Hitchcock; 1 son, Steven Krueger and friend Anny Clemetson of Huron; 5 grandchildren, Justin, Jane, Cory, Stephanie and Thomas; 1 great grandson, Lee; 2 sisters, Shirley Vinz of Spencer, SD and Joyce (Clifford) Nelson of Montrose, SD; 1 brother-in-law, Lloyd Hendrix of Artesian; 2 sisters-in-law, Zelma Kneen of Artesian and Barbara Kneen of Cleveland, OH; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 granddaughter, Angie Krueger, 2 brothers, Warren and Orie Kneen, 1 sister, Eleanor Hendrix, and 1 brother-in-law, Virgil Vinz.
