Charles B. VonEye, age 64, of Huron, SD, formerly of Miller, SD, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018 at SunQuest Healthcare Center in Huron, SD.

His funeral service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Welter Funeral Home in Huron, with burial in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Wessington Springs, SD.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until the time of the service on Saturday.

Charles Barnett VonEye, the son of Barney and Evelyn May (Lambert) VonEye, was born on September 7, 1953 in Miller, SD.  He attended country schools and graduated from Miller High School.  Charles also attended Vocational Technology school in Mitchell, SD.  Charles farmed Southwest of Miller, SD until his retirement.

Charles attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Huron, SD.  He enjoyed writing, reading, fishing, and hunting.

Grateful for having shared in Charles' life are his three sisters: Julie Walton of Aurora, CO, Joan (Donald) Wicker of Spotsylvania, VA, and Janet (Alan) Sluneka of Miller, SD; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents, Barney and Evelyn VonEye; and brother-in-law, Jim Walton.
