Obituary

Charles Chuck Salisbury, age 43, of Custer, SD, and formerly of Wolsey and Huron, died Tuesday morning, May 18, 2004, at his home in Custer of a heart attack. His Memorial Service will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 25, at the Welter Funeral Home with Glen Kuiper officiating. The family will be present on Tuesday from noon until time of service at the Welter Funeral Home. Charles Jay Salisbury was born on November 6, 1960, to Robert Bob and Mary Mickie Salisbury in Huron. He grew up at Wolsey and attended school there. He graduated from Huron High School in 1980. He then attended college at Springfield and Vermillion. He worked at various jobs: janitorial work during college, Gosch's Greenhouse, Vern's Manufacturing, construction, as a cook at Skyway's in Custer, and as a cook at Laughing Water Restaurant at Crazy Horse Memorial. His many interests included writing, drawing, painting, reading, and collecting books. He is survived by his parents, Robert Bob and Mary Mickie of Wolsey; 1 sister Mary Louise (Vernon) Kuper of Woonsocket; 3 brothers, Bob Salisbury Jr. of Wolsey, Kevan (Kary) Salisbury of Watertown, and Danny (Julia) Salisbury of Wolsey; 3 nieces; 7 nephews; 1 great niece; 5 great nephews; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
