Chad Anderson, age 50, of Huron, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. A celebration of Chad’s life will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Executive Events, 53 Third Street SW, Huron, South Dakota. Family and friends are invited to gather informally, share memories, and celebrate Chad’s life. Guests are welcome to bring a photograph or written memory to share with Chad’s family.

Chad was born on September 18, 1975, in Huron, South Dakota, to Obeyorn Anderson and Jill Quiram Anderson.

Chad worked in hotel maintenance for three hotels and was known by his family and friends as a dependable jack-of-all-trades. Whether something needed to be repaired, built, adjusted, or figured out, Chad was often the person people called. He generously shared his skills and was always willing to lend a hand to those around him.

Chad is survived by his wife, Shannon Anderson; his father, Obeyorn Anderson; his children, London Anderson, Chad Anderson Jr., and Keeleigh Anderson; his sister, Stacie Koester; and his nephews, Dhamon Bateman and Tyson Koester.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jill Quiram Anderson; his cousin, Kyle Thompson; and his brother-in-law, Brian Koester.

Chad will be remembered for his resourcefulness, his ability to fix nearly anything, and the many ways he helped his family and friends throughout his life.
