Carroll A. Ray, age 96, of Huron, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at the Redfield Care and Rehabilitation Center. Per his wishes, a private family service with military honors by the Huron Veteran's Council will be held.

Carroll A. Ray was born on May 26, 1922 in Huron, South Dakota to parents Ulysses and Harriett (Carroll) Ray. He attended Huron Schools and Huron College. Carroll was a Captain in the US Army. He was a glider pilot with the Army and served from July 28, 1943 to November 23, 1945. Carroll married Geraldine Adel Van Dyke in Little Rock, Arkansas on March 12, 1943. Geri passed away in Los Angeles, CA in 1989.Carroll owned and operated Ray-Pacific Company Sports.  He lived in Huron, Colorado, and Los Angeles. Carroll was preceded in death by his parents, his brother James Ray, and sister-in-law Shirley Ray.
