Carolyn R. Gose, age 82, of Watertown and formerly of Huron, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025 at Jenkins Living Center in Watertown, South Dakota.

Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, April 25, 2025 at Welter Funeral Home with burial to follow at Wolsey Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., on Thursday, April 24, 2025, with her family present from 5-7 p.m. at Welter Funeral Home.

Carolyn Rae was born on August 10, 1942, to parents Floyd and Irma (Kief) Jones in Huron, South Dakota. She grew up in Forestburg attending school in Forestburg and graduating from Huron High School in 1961.

Carolyn married Kenneth Gose on August 15, 1962, in Wolsey. The couple made their home in Huron, where they raised their family and built a life filled with love and laughter. Carolyn began working at Norwest Bank (later Wells Fargo) in 1961 and remained a dedicated employee until her retirement in 1999.

She cherished time spent with family and friends, and found great joy in traveling, exploring new places, and taking in the beauty of the world around her.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Michael (Amy) Gose of Tehuacana, TX and Karla (Dave) Kleinsasser of Watertown; 8 grandchildren, Cindy (Sterling) Rehfeld, Kasie (Dominick) Seidell, Austin Gose, Haylee (Daniel) Vespia, Brandon Gose, Willow Gose, London Gose, and Joe Schlanger; and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ken in 2007; and her brother Buell Jones.
