Carol (Larson) Hein, age 71, of Huron, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at her home. Her funeral service will be 1:30 pm Friday, July 26, 2013, at Welter Funeral Home with burial at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be from 6-8 pm Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Welter Funeral Home in Huron; or Friday afternoon one hour prior to the service. Carol Wait was born on January 1, 1942, in Wessington Springs to William and Florence (Lutz) Wait. She moved to Huron with her family when she was young. Carol attended Huron area schools. Carol married Ronald Larson in 1959 in Huron. She worked as a waitress and bartender at Mulligan's, Club Lido, and the Moose Lodge in Huron. Carol married Nels Hein on October 5, 1991 in Huron. Carol enjoyed spending time gardening, especially taking care of her roses. She loved her dogs and spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren. Carol is survived by her children, Rick (Cindy) Larson of Huron, Tim (Linda) Larson of Brookings, Cindy (Bart) Schulte of Huron; eight grandchildren, Zach Larson, Bradie Larson, Jacob Schulte, Cory Larson, Casey Larson, Coby Larson, Carrie (Mike) Voelker, Jessica Schulte; great grandchild, Abby Kjellerson, and one on the way; brother, Roger Wait of Huron; sister, Sandy (Tom) McNutt of Huron; many nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nels Hein; and brother, Richard Wait.
