Carly M. Mathers, age 47, of Huron, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at her home in Huron. Her funeral service will be on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Welter Funeral Home in Huron with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation, with her family present, will be from 4-7 PM on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the funeral home; or one hour prior to the service on Friday morning at the funeral home. Carly Marie Mathers, 47, recently of Huron, South Dakota, passed away from breast cancer on November 14, 2021 in her home surrounded with loved ones. Born on May 18, 1974 in American Fork, UT, Carly was the daughter of the late Michael B. Hoffman and Fran Barson Anderson. She grew up in Utah, Michigan, and California. Carly married Brett Mathers on February 2, 2002. They are the parents of two beautiful daughters, Callee and Morgan Mathers.

Carly was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loved cheesecake, traveling, history, languages, and her dogs, Lucky and Duke. Carly was a loyal friend with a kind heart. Despite numerous serious health challenges over the years, she always had a sunny disposition.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Brett Sterling Mathers, her daughters, Callee Elizabeth Mathers, and Morgan Brittany Mathers.  She is also survived by her mother Fran Barson Anderson, stepfather, Mark Anderson and her siblings; Stephanie Farr (Travis), Lauren Hoffman, Katie Allen (Eric), Allison Allsop (Jared), Robb Hoffman. Carly was preceded in death by her father Michael B. Hoffman.
