Butch Knouse, age 64, of Huron, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD with his family by his side. His funeral service will be on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 6:30 PM at Welter Funeral Home in Huron. Visitation, with the family present will be from 5 PM until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date at Maplewood Cemetery in Iroquois, SD.

LaVerne Robert Knouse was born on November 15, 1955 to Robert E. and Crisilda M. (Clarke) Knouse in Davison County, South Dakota.

Butch enjoyed welding and spent much of his career in manufacturing. He loved to create, especially oil painting in the style of Bob Ross. Spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren was important to him. Butch enjoyed cheering on the Minnesota Vikings and being around animals.

Butch was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother-in-law, Tim Martinez; nephew Gary Keelin, Jr. and niece Sherrie Keelin.

Grateful to have shared in his life are his children, Joshua (Christie Malcolm) Knouse, Laura (Jimmy) Allen, and Jade (Scott) Bell, all of Huron; seven grandchildren, Adilynn Bell, Wyatt Bell, Kayleen Malcolm, Aubree Bell, Dallas Bell, Lily Ann Knouse, and Jasper Knouse; and one sister, Ginger Martinez of Rapid City.
