Beverly J. Kopplin, age 78, of Iroquois, SD, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2014 at Huron Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Iroquois, SD, with burial at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 12, at Welter Funeral Home in Huron with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.; or visitation one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Beverly J. Siebelts, the daughter of Siebelt and Emma (Schutte) Siebelts, was born on July 27, 1936 on the family farm southeast of Bancroft, SD. Beverly attended school, graduated from Bancroft High School and attended Huron College of Commerce. She worked as a bankteller for Farmers and Merchants State Bank in Iroquois for several years. Beverly married Dale Kopplin on June 3, 1962 at the Presbyterian Church in Bancroft, SD. The couple made their home on the family farm near Iroquois. In her later years, Beverly worked at the Iroquois Post Office. Beverly was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Iroquois where she was involved in the Women's Group. She was also a member of the American Legion Bensley-Rounds Post #280 Women's Auxiliary in Iroquois, SD. Beverly enjoyed gardening, sewing, embroidery work, and quilting. Grateful for having shared in Beverly's life are her husband, Dale of Iroquois, SD; two daughters, Karla (Rex) Sawvell of Huron, SD, and Donna (Toby) Koziolek of Iroquois, SD; two granddaughters, Michelle (Mario) Azar of Alta Loma, CA, and Kim (Bret) Eichstadt of Huron, SD; four great-grandchildren: Kaydance, Ryker, Zechariah, and Lane; brother, Milton (Pat) Siebelts of Sun City West, AZ; one niece and one nephew. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Walter Siebelts; and sister-in-law, Myrna Siebelts.
