Beverly Kennell, age 73, of 948 Illinois Ave. SW, Huron, died Tuesday, February 22, 2005, at the Huron Nursing Home. Her Memorial Service will be at 10:00 AM Friday, February 25, at the Welter Funeral Home with Rev. Lew Christensen officiating. Her body has been donated to the USD School of Medicine at Vermillion. There will be no visitation. Beverly Kennell was born Beverly Joyce Teuber on June 16, 1931, to Albert and Lillian (Greenman) Teuber at Huron, SD. She grew up and attended school at Huron. In 1948, Beverly was married to Eugene K. Kennell at Watertown, SD. Following their marriage they lived at Huron; in 1954 to Omaha, NE, where Beverly worked as a nurses aide; in 1961 to Willmar, MN; in 1962 returned to Huron where she worked as a clerk at JC Penny department store; in 1968 to Aberdeen for a short period of time where she worked as a nurses aide; and in 1975 returned to Huron. Her family was first and foremost in her life; in addition she cared deeply about the welfare of all animals especially her pets, she also enjoyed reading, and loved the outdoors. She is survived by 1 daughter, Linda Eck of Huron; 1 son, Brad (Shirley) Kennell of Custer, SD; 5 grandchildren, Matthew Busch, Jerrod (Amy) Busch, Sarah (Scott) Vandervelde, Brian Kennell, and Andrew Kennell; 3 great grandchildren, Tyler Busch, Ashley Busch, and Kyler Vandervelde; 1 sister-in-law, Mary Teuber of California; 1 brother-in-law, Bud Stymist of Wisconsin; and her very special friend, Phyllis Curtis of Huron. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Peggy Teuber, and Maxine Stymist; and 2 brothers, Roger Tueber, and Howard Teuber.
