Beverly Jorgensen, age 76, of 1129 Kansas Ave. SE, Huron, SD, died Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at Violet Tschetter Memorial Home, Huron, SD.

Her graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 11, in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

There will be no visitation.

Memorials may be directed to the Beadle County Humane Society or donors choice.

Beverly Jorgensen was born Beverly Jo Ann Hopper on September 4, 1932, to Oral and Ethel (Renshaw) Hopper in rural Cavour, SD. She graduated from Huron High School in 1950.

On April 8, 1951, Beverly married Ronald Norman Jorgensen at First United Methodist Church in Huron.

Beverly was an accountant for K-Mart Corporation, and in addition to living in Huron, she lived in Ypsilanti, Michigan; North Platte, Nebraska; St. Joseph, Missouri; Norfolk, Nebraska; Memphis, Tennessee; Phoenix, Arizona; Woodbury, Minnesota; then returning to Huron.

Beverly died on the day of her 58th wedding anniversary.

She is survived by her husband Ron of Huron; 3 sisters: Doris Kouf of Huron, SD, Lois (James) Coughlin of Omaha, NE, and Shirley (Phillip) Hess of Roswell, NM; 1 brother: Lynn (Darlene) Hopper of Cavour, SD; 2 grandchildren: Robert (Faith) Jorgensen of Florence, KY, and Scott Jorgensen of Florence, KY; and 2 great grandchildren: Danielle Jorgensen, and Ronald D. Jorgensen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons: a stillborn infant, and a grown son, Kim Ronald Jorgensen (38 years old); 1 brother: Lyle Hopper; 1 sister-in-law: Marge Hopper; a 1 brother-in-law: Marshall Kouf.
