Betty Neuharth Miller, age 70, of Huron, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at her son's home in Huron. Her Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Welter Funeral Home in Huron. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday morning.

Betty Jane Neuharth was born on December 11, 1952, to parents Gus and Lydia (Fastnacht) Neuharth in Huron. She attended Huron schools.

Betty married Dennis Piccone on December 20, 1969, in Waukegan, Illinois. Betty made her home in Chicago for 44 years. She worked in finance and accounting at several car dealerships and a motorcycle dealership for many years. She retired as the CFO of the Junior League of Chicago in 2013. Betty moved back to her hometown shortly after retirement.

In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, listening to music, fishing, and gardening. She also enjoyed playing BINGO and the occasional slot machine.

Betty is survived by her children, Joe (Sandy) Piccone of Huron, Christina (Tim) Mahaffey of Sarasota, FL, and Mario Piccone of Murfreesboro, TN: two grandchildren, Joey Piccone of TN and Gianna Piccone of IL; her sister-in-law, Donna Neuharth of Marshall, MN, and nieces and nephews, Susan and Jeanne, Michael and Dean.

She was preceded in death by her parents Gus and Lydia Neuharth, her brother, Merlin Neuharth and nephew Gary Neuharth.
