Betty Farmer, age 90, of Aberdeen, SD, formerly of Huron, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at ManorCare Health Services in Aberdeen, SD. A private family graveside service will be held on Friday March 30, 2018 at the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Betty French, the daughter of Carl and Edna (Parkinson) French, was born on September 12, 1927 in Bonilla, SD. She attended school in Bonilla. Betty worked for Swift and Company and Raven Industries.
Betty married Louis Farmer on February 14, 1948 in Huron, SD. Betty and Louis lived in Huron until 2004, when she moved to Aberdeen, SD after Louis' passing to be closer to her family.
Betty enjoyed going to races with her husband, Louis and playing cards. Betty was a "people person" and loved to spend time with her family and friends.
Grateful for having shared in Betty's life are her two children: Larry Farmer and Linda (Terry) Wolff both of Aberdeen, SD; two granddaughters: Traci (Scott) Musland of Edgeley, ND and their children McKaden and Keyahna; and Toni (Dustin) Lotton of Jamesville MN and their children Daultin and Trendin; brother, Jack (Gerri) French of South Carolina; brother-in-law Kenneth Farmer of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Louis in 2004; four brothers and a brother in infancy.
