Audrey F. Larson, age 91, of Huron and formerly of Wessington, passed away on Thursday, January 5 ^th , 2023 at Huron Regional Medical Center in Huron. A family memorial service will be held in the Spring with burial at the Wessington Cemetery.

Audrey Faye Muhs was born on April 28 ^th , 1931 to parents Henry W. and Mabel V. (Lee) Muhs in Vayland, South Dakota. She grew up in Wessington and attended Wessington School.

Audrey married her high school sweetheart, Delton D. Larson, on November 20 ^th , 1947 in Pierre, South Dakota. Audrey and Delton made their home in Wessington, raising their 5 children. Audrey worked at Farmers Union Oil Company for 34 years as a secretary. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Wessington Legion Auxiliary. Audrey loved time spent with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, reading, puzzles, travels with her sisters and was always up for a good game of whatever anyone wanted to play. Audrey also enjoyed watching all sporting events, especially the Olympics and her favorite team, the Minnesota Twins.

Audrey is survived by her children, Douglas (Hope) Larson of Bowdle, Jeffery (Jean) Larson of Huron, Tracy Larson of Huron, and Lynne (Mike) Rowen of Georgetown, TX; 17 grandchildren, Coy (Jennifer Johnson) Larson, Cody (Laura) Larson, Cayla Larson, Duke Larson, Troy (Jodi) Larson, Leslee Larson, Trent Larson, Tara Larson, Kyrsten (Joe) Fokken, Jay (Paige) Larson, Amber (Tom) Perrenoud, Kristi Rowen, Kami (Tommy) Testerman, Kolby Rowen, Matthew Rowen, Cole Rowen; 20 great-grandchildren, Beckett, Tatum, Hannah, Sam, Bailee, Bennett, Brylee, Brenna, Aubree, Bodie, Miles, Susanna, Andrew, Sylvia, Van, Veda, Charlie, Will, Jake, and Kylee; siblings, Jeanne Daetwiler, Wayland "Bill" Muhs, Patricia Nagel (Aldon Schimke); and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mabel Muhs, husband Delton Larson, son Stephen Larson, grandson Kyle Rowen, brother Floyd "Rusty" Muhs, sisters Shirley Ricker, Mary Reynolds and Bernice Clarke, and several brothers and sisters-in-law.
