Armand E.A. Peskey, age 99, of Huron, formerly of Iroquois, SD passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the SunQuest Healthcare Center in Huron, SD. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 16, 2017 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Iroquois, with burial at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.  Visitation with the family present will be from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, October 15, followed by a prayer service to begin at 4:00 p.m. at the Welter Funeral Home in Huron, SD; or visitation one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

Armand E. Peskey, the son of Oscar F. and Anna L. (Kopplin) Peskey, was born on October 23, 1917 in Beadle County, SD.  He attended the Dubro School until the eighth grade.  Armand married Lenora Zell on November 8, 1944 in rural Iroquois, SD.  The couple made their home on the family farm near Iroquois where Armand lived for 93 years until moving to Huron in 2014. Armand was a farmer for most of his life and worked part time for Bales and Magness Cattle Auctions in the 1960's and 70's and as a custodian for the Iroquois School District from 1972-1983. Armand was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.  He enjoyed playing cards, antiques, fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Grateful for having shared in Armand's life are his wife, Lenora of Huron; four children: Barb (Douglas) Canode of Galletin Gateway, MT, Judy (Dave) Crenshaw of Colorado Springs, CO, Alan Peskey of Brookshire, TX, and Todd Peskey of Iroquois, SD;  12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Velda Zeeck of Huron, SD; and many nieces and nephews.

Armand was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Walter and Alfred Peskey; and a sister, Erma.
