Arlo C. Longcor, 91, Huron, SD passed away Monday, December 26, 2016 at the Violet Tschetter Memorial Home.

Memorial Services for Arlo will be at 11 am, Friday, December 30 at Riverview United Methodist Church in Huron.  Inurnment will be at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery at a later date.

Arlo was born February 28, 1925 to Claude and Viola (Krutzfeldt) Longcor in Blair, NE.  He moved to South Dakota with his family at a young age. On March 3, 1946 he married Luella Daleske in Huron.  They farmed in the Virgil area from 1946-1964, when he began to manage the Virgil Co-op.  In 1974, he purchased and operated Arlo's Mobil Service in Huron, a gas station and bulk fuel plant.  He did this until 1989, when he sold the business and semi-retired, working part-time for Presuhn Farms until 2013.  In his free time, Arlo enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Arlo was a quiet man of few words.

Arlo is survived by his wife, Luella Longcor, Huron; daughters, Connie (Ron) Muth, Wolsey, Linda (Ronny) Kopfmann, Alpena; six grandchildren, Andi Lavoy, Rhonda (Mike) Hasart, Heather (Brad) Kopecky, Chad Kopfmann, Jennifer (Wes) Anderson, Jill (Scott) Larson; 14 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Geneva Plate; sister-in-law- and brother-in-law, Lois and Roger Aye.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Violet Kahre, brothers-in-law, Irvin Kahre and Lloyd Plate.
