Anna M. Langbehn, age 90, of 421 E. 4 th St. Miller, SD, formerly of Wessington died on Monday, December 15, 2008, at the Miller Prairie Good Samaritan Center in Miller, SD.
Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m, Friday, December 19, at the First Presbyterian Church in Wessington with burial at the Wolsey Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 18, from1-8 p.m. at the Welter Funeral Home in Huron with the family present from 5-8 p.m.; or Friday morning one hour prior to the service at the church.
Anna M. Boesel, the daughter of Herman F. and Bertha (Berlin) Boesel, was born on March 20, 1918, in Wolsey, SD. She grew up on a farm west of Wolsey and attended school in Wolsey. Anna married LeRoy H. Langbehn on May 16, 1937 in Woonsocket, SD. They farmed in the Wolsey area until 1944. The couple then moved to the Wessington area and continued farming until their retirement in 1976, when they moved to the town of Wessington.
Anna was a housewife, taking good care of her family. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wessington for many years, and the Senior Citizens Center in Wessington. She enjoyed baking, gardening, embroidering, and spending time with her family and friends.
Grateful for having shared her life are her 2 daughters, VaLois (Gene) Flicek, Milan, MN, and Sharalyn (Jerry) Jones, Wessington, SD; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Fritz Boesel, Wolsey, SD; and many nieces and nephews.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, LeRoy in 1995; infant son Dale, 5 brothers; and 5 sisters.
