Ann M. Montgomery, 69, of Wessington Springs and formerly of Huron, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish with burial to follow at St. Martin Cemetery in Huron. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.

Ann Marie Montgomery was born on January 2, 1953 to parents Keith and Marita (King) Montgomery in Huron, South Dakota. Ann attended St. Theresa Catholic School and Huron schools graduating in 1971. She attended South Dakota State University. Ann lived in Sioux Falls for many years managing Osborn Clothing Company with her former husband Kent. She continued her retail career for several years at Pred's Coats in the Empire Mall. In the early 1990's, Ann moved to Colorado where she worked in management at the Silverhawk Casino in Blackhawk. She also worked as a professional photographer in various locations around Denver.

Ann was a creative person who loved to cook and entertain. She had a knack for decorating and style. She also enjoyed traveling. Ann moved back to Huron several years ago to be closer to family. She worked at the Best Western Hotel in Huron.

She is survived by her mother, Marita Montgomery of Huron; siblings, Baird (Julie) Montgomery of Superior, WI; Beth (Mark) Wahl of Huron; and Jean Montgomery Della Rocco of Huron; nine nieces and nephews; and twelve great-nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Keith Montgomery; her brother Michael Montgomery; special friend Michael Heisler; and great-nephew Joshua Montgomery Jr.
