Rev. Alton L. Wagner, age 90, of Miller, and formerly of Huron, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Society in Miller. A private committal service with military honors will be held at later date at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD.

Al was born on March 25, 1929 to Wilfred and Margaret (Deitz) Wagner in the Alleghenies of Northern Pennsylvania where he was raised. Al was first married to Mary Lilian Edmonds of Bradford, Pennsylvania. Al later married Cynthia Lynn Litson who served with him in ministry in Iowa and South Dakota. Al was a World War II Navy Veteran, Buick Automobile Salesman, and a Fuller Brush Salesman. He later found his passion and was a United Methodist lay pastor for 18 years, mostly in South Carolina. He was then a United Church of Christ minister for 29 years in Iowa and South Dakota.

Al was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, five brothers and sisters, and his loving wife Cindy. He is survived by his brothers and sisters, three daughters, Shelley Dautreuil of Enid, OK, Stacey Miller of Monroe, IA, and Shannon (Eric) Borah of Wolsey, SD; seven grandchildren, Cody, Ashley, Zachary, Colton, Alicia, Joshua, and Brianna.

And now, in the presence of God's domain, Al has joined with his wife Cindy and resides there with God's Eternal Family.
