Allen R. Carstens, age 74, of Sioux Falls and formerly of Huron, passed away at his residence in Sioux Falls on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. His funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, February 21, 2022 at Welter Funeral Home in Huron with burial at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Allen Ray Carstens was born on July 10, 1947 in Huron, SD to parents Otto and Iva Elizabeth (Jaquette) Carstens. Growing up, Allen enjoyed spending time at the Jaquette farm and Schneider farm.

Allen enjoyed going out to eat and having his favorite food, burgers and fries. He liked to watch television and be around people. He also enjoyed fishing.

Allen is survived by his brother, Richard Carstens of Huron; his cousins, Nina Lisenby of Iowa, Dale (Jessica) Jaquette of Texas, Carol (Bill) Schultz of Texas, Deb (Paul) Hetle of Sioux Falls, and Kent (Lisa) Schneider of Huron. He was preceded in death by his parents.
