Alice Timmerman, age 77, of Aberdeen, SD, died Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at Avera St. Lukes Hospital in Aberdeen. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 5, at the Welter Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Whillock officiating. Burial will be at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 1-8 p.m. at the Welter Funeral Home and Saturday morning one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Alice Timmerman was born Alice May Bonebrake on October 20, 1930, to John and Nannie (Compton) Bonebrake in Barrington, IL. She moved with her family as a child to Wessington, SD, where she received her education. On November 7, 1949, Alice married Ralph Timmerman in Luverne, MN. The couple lived in Huron where Alice worked in the housekeeping department at motels in Huron including many years at the Plains and Super 8 until her retirement in 2003, at which time she moved to Aberdeen to be closer to family. She attended Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Aberdeen. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going to breakfast at the Millstone & RGs in Aberdeen. She is survived by 2 daughters, Donna (James) Merkel of Aberdeen, and Helen Timmerman of Aberdeen; 5 grandchildren, Timothy (Brandy) Timmerman of Aberdeen, Waylon (Katie) Rochelle of Cedar Rapids, IA, William (Kristi) Hall of Fargo, ND, Jamie (Mike) Rystrom of Aberdeen, and Jennifer Merkel of Aberdeen; 7 great grandchildren, Caleb Timmerman, Stephanie Hall, Dylan Hall, Kiesen Pahl, Gunner Brockel, Shea Rystrom, and Zoe Rystrom; 4 sisters, Joyce (Charles) Price of Huron, Edna (Ed) White of Phoenix, AZ, Margaret Sexton of Huron, and Bertha Cole of Hitchcock; 3 brothers, Walter Bonebrake of Belle Fourche, Lawrence Bonebrake of Huron, and Cecil Bonebrake of Wessington; and 1 brother-in-law, Bill Ranft of Huron. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph on September 27, 1995; 2 twin great grandsons, Alex Rochelle and Zach Rochelle; 4 sisters, Lucille Timmerman, Maxine Zell, Dorothy Ranft, and Vi Heinz; 2 sisters-in-law, June Bonebrake, and Juletta Bonebrake; 5 brothers-in-law, Harry Sexton, Ray Cole, Walter Timmerman, Marvin Zell, and Elmer Heinz.
