Obituary

Alfredo "Lux" Vasquez-Iraola, age 44, of Huron, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 due to a motor vehicle accident. His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Welter Funeral Home in Huron. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home on Saturday, October 18, 2025.

Alfredo was born July 10th, 1981 in Boston, Massachusetts. He lived alongside many who loved him. These include his mother, Irma Iraola Caraballo; his brother, Kervin Vasquez; his girlfriend, Darian Heffner and their child, Lux Vasquez Iraola and unborn son, Luca Vasquez Iraola. Alfredo also shared his life with his loving children Leah Vasquez, Alicia Vasquez, and Anthony Vasquez; and his cousin, Mos Iraola. He shared his life with many loving people including father, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Alfredo's life will continue through countless memories created and the immense impact he left on all who knew him. He excelled at just about anything he put his mind to. He was determined and dedicated. No matter how much it would take, if, he put his mind to it, it would get done. Even though he put on a tough exterior, Alfredo had an enormous heart and would do just about anything to help another. He considered himself a "tough guy" but under that hard exterior, he was the most loving, caring, thoughtful, courageous person. There was not a room or life in this world he couldn't bring light to. His warm, welcoming, witty personality will be truly missed.

Alfredo had many things he loved in his life. His motorcycle was the biggest. He dedicated several years of his life to his motorcycle club, Wheels of Soul, where he grew, learned, and created countless lifetime bonds. His bike was his safe place. In addition to that, Alfredo loved cooking. He liked to look at himself as a chef. Whatever you wanted to eat, no matter how exotic, he'd manage to make it for you and make it well. At the end of a long day, Alfredo craved nothing more than coming home to his family, eating snacks (especially gummy worms), and watching a movie together. Even though he could never stay awake long enough to finish it.

Alfredo lived a full, eventful, and energetic life. What his friends and family will remember him by is his infectious smile and irresistible personality. His hugs and his touch were impossible to leave, once he hugged you there was an immediate sense of safe and love. His absence in this life will be impossible not to notice and impossible to forget. He will be truly missed by many and forever remembered.
