Adalyn J. Ezzell, the daughter of Jim and Betty (Burns) Ezzell, was born on July 12, 1947, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She moved to California and while attending schools there, received her GED. She accepted Jerry Martin as her one and only husband on January 3, 1983 in Jacksboro, TX.
A.J. enjoyed working as a CNA for many years, and took great pride in the time she spent cowboying on the open range with her husband. She also worked for Midcom Inc. and for the last 7 years worked for Wal-Mart.
A.J. attended Huron Baptist Church. She enjoyed knitting, reading, movies, and fishing. A.J. loved the outdoors. Her dog Betty held a special place in her heart. A.J. and her husband, Jerry were inseparable, often to the point of intentionally working together. The love they shared is one that was often envied, and will be greatly missed.
A.J. was mom and grandma to many, but especially mother to John and Robin Skinner and Bill and Phyllis Arganbright. She was grandmother to Katlyn and John Skinner, Kelly and Jesse Arganbright, and Rose Capers. Rose was also blessed by having A.J. as great-grandmother to her children, Nehemiah (Neo) and Tahtiana (Tahti) Capers.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Jerry of 26 years; her three brothers, Doyle (Karen) Ezzell of Bakersfield, CA, and Larry and Joey Ezzell of Denver, CO; her nephew, Daniel Ezzell of Bakersfield, CA; and numerous friends.
A.J. was preceded in death by her parents: her sister Alice; and her nephew, Jason.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Childens Miracle Network at Wal- Mart in A.J.s name.
